Doesn't matter if it is a nuke or not, or cut from Armageddon, it looks good and that's the main thing.

It's not a nuke... it's not even original.
Its cut from that movie armaggedon, when the asteroid hits Paris, he just cut out the images of paris and replaced them. If you watch that scen you can see that the explosion looks exactly the same.
And if you look at the first frame of the gif, you can see the smoke trail extending from the impact to the top right from where the comet came from.
